Introduction

Green tea or black tea is common, how about trying some blue tea? Well blue tea is not new though, it has been in the market for ages and is known by various names like Blue Matcha, Blue Ninja, Black Dragon tea, Butterfly Pea Flower tea etc. So this blog is all about butterfly pea flower tea that is blue tea and it’s benefits.

This vibrant blue tea has been trending on the internet for a while and has numerous health benefits including weight loss. So let’s know about blue tea better.

You can easily buy it from online stores like Amazon, Flipkart etc. The pack has 30 tea bags, naturally grown, 100 percent pure and air dried. Butterfly pea flower tea is actually made by dying butterfly pea flower which is cobalt blue in colour and is native to South East Asia . It is also used as a food colour and dye. The flavour is earthy  and rich so,  if u like green tea, then you are going to love this too.

The pack has 2 packs of 15 bags each . You have to observe while shopping this tea is that you get these in 3 forms. First is tea bags, second is pack of dried flowers, and third is pack of  butterfly pea flower  tea powder just like green tea matcha powder. So, as per me, buying a pack of tea bags is better, as then you don’t have to measure or weigh  how much to use each time. Powder is also a good option as you consume the entire flower.

The tea is made by steeping  the butterfly pea  flowers  in hot water . I’m going to tell you three  ways to  make them  and will also  sharing the benefits simultaneously.

Benefits & Methods of preparing Blue Tea

1. Dried Flowers

By using dried flowers and a carafe and few dried flowers to the strainer and then pour a cup of hot water. Let it steep for 3-5 minutes  and you will see the colour of  water changing. This tea is caffeine free and has zero carbs, fat and cholesterol. It is a natural diuretic and helps  flush excess water from your body. It basically helps lose weight and fat by acting as a detoxifying agent. This process increases  our metabolism and burns more calories. Blue tea is highly effective in weight loss and the credit goes to it’s catechins content that aid fat burning by boosting  metabolism and initiating Thermogenesis. This tea also  works towards the reduction of visceral fat (stubborn abdominal fat).
After 5 minutes , pour tea into a cup and our blue tea is ready.

2. Butterfly Pea Flower Tea Bags

The second way is by using a butterfly pea flower tea bags.
Take a cup and drop the tea bag.  Now, pour hot boiling water and let it steep for few minutes. Blue tea is known for it’s anti-aging properties which are due to high concentration of antioxidants present in its leaves . It also has  stress relieving properties that make you  shine from within . Apart from weight loss, blue tea is a good  source of Polyphenols and has been proven  to prevent type  1 diabetes by controlling  glucose metabolism in our body. It has catechins EGCG like green tea,  which speeds up the calorie burning activity in our body.
This tea is also known to improve eye sight . It has an  antioxidant called Proanthocyanin which increases blood flow  to the capillaries of the eyes, useful in the treatment  of glaucoma, blurred vision, retinal damage  of tired eyes. If you are a type 2 diabetic, then also, I strongly recommend having blue tea between the meals as it regulates  blood sugar  levels  pretty  efficiently.

3. Blue Tea Lemonade

Third way is blue tea lemonade, for those who don’t like  sipping warm tea. Take a glass and add few ice cubes . Next fill the glass  with the butterfly pea flower tea then add 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice and see the magic. Lemon juice changes  the PH  level of tea and the colour changes blue to  purple. In the end add 1 to 2 tbsp  of soaked Basil or chia seeds and mix. And our cold blue tea is ready. This recipe will  provide you  with loads of antioxidants, omega 3 fatty acids, vitamins, fibre, calcium and help with fast Weight loss. Blue tea not just presents but also  treats fatty  liver issue  by improving hepatic metabolism. Blue tea also burns cholesterol, cleans arteries and improve blood circulation. This tea has  lots of antioxidants properties. It can reduce stress and anxiety, it is beneficial for hair and skin, can prevent cancer  and tumours and help bring down common cold and fever. It also fights  premature greying, male pattern baldness and increases memory, collagen and skin elasticity. The tea tastes amazing and you going to love it.

Conclusion

If you are confused or want to know what’s better green tea or blue tea? Then my answer is both. Blue tea is clinically proven to contain much higher amount of antioxidants as compared to green tea. They come from entirely different plants one is caffeinated another is caffeine free. They taste different yet have many similar properties like very effective for Weight loss, anti aging properties etc. So, try both. After having blue tea twice everyday you are going to notice  a visible change including body fat, weight, skin and hair etc. Have it 1 hour before or after your meal or during your bedtime.

BONUS TIP- USE A SMALLER PLATE

Using smaller plates can help you eat small portions. By using smaller plates and bowls, you may be able to gradually get used to eating smaller portions without going hungry. It takes about 20 minutes for stomach to tell brain that it's full, so eat slowly and stop eating before you start feeling full.

Do try and let me know your experience and if u have any kind of queries regarding the blue tea, you can ask in the comment section.
