The animals, being seen on the Indian streets do not wander around aggressively, damaging public property or causing harm to anyone, unless we force them to turn bad — these are human being made traits of animals, and humans are quick to point out and justify that these domestic and wild animals are ‘intruders’. They have been treated with cruelty, given no such importance and place in our society. People barely understand animals and what their attributes are.

ANIMALS : LOVING, LOYAL, FAITHFUL AND CARING CREATURE

It will not be wrong to mention that, Animals should be made Ambassadors for Generosity, forgiveness, Peace, hope, and trust. We all know, many stunning animal beings can always teach us numerous lessons about forgiveness, dignity, peace, trust, generosity, and love. We must attempt to understand them carefully and incorporate them into our lives.

Animals are playful and you’ll do lots of fun stuff with them. They like to move out within the garden and they are great around kids. They like to snuggle with you and even you too, like to spend lots of your time along with your beloved pets.

They always like to play and luxuriate in with you and that they can learn to try and do all forms of tricks to grab your attention and make you feel good.

Animals will certainly recognize you (and often your friends and family too!) and that they will show signs of affection after you fall into their place. I don’t know why people always abuse animals, they’re more loyal and faithful than most humans.

Holy books like Quran, The Ramayana and bible haven’t distinguished animals from humans. In step with Bible, animals were created before any human. Ramayana tells that animals are symbolized as rebirth of Hindu gods and goddesses or a medium through which gods communicate. The Quran states that it’s a God, who has been provided to you for all manner of livestock, from which you can derive your food as well.

Sadly, in today’s time, animals aren’t getting what they really deserve from humans, they’re seen as creatures with no mouth, who can tolerate inhumanity and utter no words.

CRUELTY TOWARDS ANIMALS

All the living beings have right to measure its life on this earth, but sometimes we cruel towards animals. We all know Animals can’t speak but they too have a worthy life.

Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, rightly said, “The greatness of the state is judged by the way it treats it’s animal“. Animal cruelty means when someone hurts Animals, causes unnecessary pain or doesn’t be sure about the suffering of animals.

It has become a standard sight in India, to labour bulls pulling carts filled with huge loads and beaten if it stops on the way, people pelt stones at dogs and cats out of fun and hurt them. During this generation of world, where we are witnessing modernization and development, people are slowly losing their ethos and morals not only towards one another but towards these innocent animals moreover.

Everyday, countless beautiful cats, stray dogs and other animals die suffering, by the hands of the very people that are in fact supposed to look after and protect them. Animals trust humans and humans betray their feelings in return, no animal ever wants to hurt any human, even though there are many cases where animals have hurt humans, they have done it in order to protect themselves in act of self-defence.. What is the fault of animals if they are animals? They are better at their attributes and behaviour whereas humans are not, we can be called inferior to them.

There are many occasions when humans did worst to animals and showed no mercy at all. They have suffered barbaric cruelty. Following are some recent incidents,

1. Pregnant Elephant’s Death in Kerala:

The death of a pregnant wild elephant, suspected to have suffered severe injuries after having pineapple filled with firecrackers that exploded in her mouth. The elephant died four days after she was found injured.

The postmortem report says that there was an explosion in her mouth, they also added that she was found to be one-month pregnant.

2. Pregnant cow injured due to cracker explosion in mouth.

Days after the death of a pregnant elephant, identical incident took place in Himachal Pradesh, where a cow consumed firecrackers wrapped in flour. The picture went viral on social media and everyone condemned.

3. Trapped, killed, body parts chopped: Fifth leopard death in a year in Assam

A leopard was illegally captured employing a leg-hot trapped and brutally beaten to death by the villagers. After lynching the large cat, the locals sliced off its body parts and also removed its teeth. Town police have arrested six during this matter.

4. Dog with adhesive tape tied around its Mouth

After the news of a leopard, another shocking case of brutality was administered to a dog, has come to the fore in Kerala. A three-years old dog, found with adhesive tape tied around its mouth and had been surviving without water and food for pretty much period. He drank almost 2 litres of water after being rescued. Shows the desperate thirst and hunger of an innocent dog.

MEASURES TO SAFEGUARD ANIMALS

It’s been rightly said by the late President, Abraham Lincoln, “I am in favor of animal rights moreover as human rights. that’s the way of a full soul.” In India, many of us do not feel in the similar way. There’s an unacceptable rise within the number of cases of cruelty and inhumanity towards animal, and nothing much is being done to prevent it.

There are numerous laws in India that are there to safeguard Animals and stop cruelty towards them but only a few are responsive to what they’re and the way they work.

To put a stop to animal cruelty, the Central government has passed several laws, the foremost commendable being the “The Prevention of Cruelty Animals Act, 1960”. Apart from that, there’s the “Wildlife Protection Act, 1972” moreover which was established for the protection of animal species and plants.

CONCLUSION

For what a society is, that can’t care about the foremost vulnerable parts of its environment, nature and every living things?

We can send a message to individuals that cruelty to Animals are some things that’s unacceptable for us as a society. Some might argue that the way we pander to our natural environment and our animals actually tells lots about ourselves and our value system.

We, as a person, should understand that animals too have life, we should always make society aware of animal rights and make them understand that they too suffer pain like us.

IF IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO SHOW SOME AFFECTION TOWARDS ANIMALS FOR YOU, KINDLY, AT LEAST TRY TO PUT YOUR EFFORTS TO STOP WRONG HAPPENINGS TO THEM, DO ONE’S UTMOST AND FEED THEM BECAUSE THEY ARE DYING.

  1. Well structured and well written pen down article. Indeed the structural injustices towards both non-human species seek to address for injustices at once.

    1. Thankyou so much, Mam. What we have not done for the beings, who all are similar to humans in respect to nature and kindness, but physique, is the reason why they still are inferior to us even though they are existing from the time, when humans had no existence. We must buy this fact, that, animals can never act being mean to us.
